Switching to EKIN

Switching to EKIN: what we commit to

Changing managing agent should not feel like a gamble. These are the commitments we make to every building that switches to EKIN.

Switching to EKIN

We prepare the paperwork and report back in writing.

Our commitments

1

We prepare the paperwork

We help your board with the notice to the current agent and chase the outgoing agent for money, records and contracts against a dated checklist.

2

Everything in writing before you sign

One annual management fee, and every separately priced service listed in the proposal. How our fees work.

3

A written 90-day report

Within 90 days the board receives a written report: compliance position, documents received and missing, money transferred and the action plan for the year.

4

A named person responsible

One director of EKIN leads the day-to-day management of your building, with the other reviewing key decisions.

Terms

The term of the appointment, notice periods and any fees on handover at the end of the appointment are set out in our management agreement, which you will see in full with the proposal before deciding.

Frequently asked questions

What if our current agent has a long notice period?

That is set by your existing agreement. We look at it with you before notice is given and plan the switch around it.

How long does a switch take?

Usually three to four months from the board's decision, mainly driven by the notice period in the current agreement.
