FAQ

Practical questions from directors and owners.

The short version: EKIN is designed for buildings that need more clarity, better control and less reactive decision-making.

How is EKIN different from a traditional managing agent?

EKIN puts more emphasis on reporting structure, action tracking and major works controls. The aim is not just to administer the building, but to make decisions easier and more traceable.

Do you only work in SW19?

SW19 is the core focus, with nearby coverage typically including SW20, KT1, KT2 and KT3 where the building and scope make sense.

Can you help if the main issue is major works rather than day-to-day management?

Yes. Major works controls, tender support, cost and programme visibility are a core part of the offer.

How often do directors receive reporting?

That depends on the appointment. Quarterly may be enough for stable management, while active works usually need a more frequent rhythm.

Is the owner portal live?

Not yet. We are collecting access requests first so we can prioritise the right buildings and features before launch. You can register interest on the request access page.

Do you work with smaller blocks or resident directors?

Yes, especially where resident directors want a more structured way of handling actions, documents and upcoming works.

What information do you need for a proposal?

Usually the postcode, rough building size, current issues, any upcoming works and whatever recent documents or reports are readily available.

Do you provide emergency support?

Urgent issues should go through the agreed contact route for the building. The exact response model depends on the appointment scope and instructions in place.

Still have a question?

Ask about your building directly.

A short description is enough to start.
